Mt. Bukhansan has been called Samgaksan (Mountain of Three Peaks) because it has three high peaks, Baegundae (836m), Insubong (810m), and Gukmangbong (Mangyeongdae: 800m) forming a triangle. Since Mt. Bukhansan is high, precipitous and rugged, it is difficult to climb. However, once people climb up to its summit, they can see beautiful scenery within a radius of 100 ri below their feet.
